I am proud to show you the ONLY
known prototype of the rarest Italian Leica copy,
the elusive Borletti ! Even the Galileo
Eptamitar 50/2 lens is a "no name" one,
# 228360.

What is extraordinary, this LONE prototype is almost completely
made in a gorgeous
STAINLESS STEEEL, that, as always at his time (1949/50)
has a "yellowish"
tone, the same we find on the also SS made Italian
Kristall II and III...

I ask you to inspect
attentively my 23 posted pictures. You will see that even most
inner metal parts, and screws, are made with the same "vintage" stainless steel,
and the feeling, touching and using this unique camera, is incredibly good!
SOLD

Early, interesting Ducati Sogno
00909 with
Vito 35mm lens # 01920,

EXTREMELY
INTERESTING ! Never seen a such special erngraving !

system, text in English and Italian,
very interesting for the company history, ALMOST SOLD-OUT, 4/5 copies only !

Milan 1947 fair's leaflet !
The picture at right side shows
this camera near a vintage photo of two visitors
of the Milan fair, 1947, that are handling and inspecting another
Gamma prototype !

Gamma I, with Gamma
Bayonet mount, # 00528, with Koristka Victor-Gamma
55/3.5 lens in the RARE Gamma bayonet mount, too, # 75397.
Works ! EX+ or better,
mostly for some "age prick points" on the chrome finish. The finder could need
a good cleaning. Rangefinder OK, and quite contrasty. A rare camera,
less
that 700 example made since 1947, and this example is very clean !

Gamma #
10163, with Italian Military engraving on top plate: "Aeronautica
Militare" red filled,
but the serial # seem not so close to the military ones published in the
beautiful, recent book
"Rectaflex, the magic Reflex"
by my Marco Antonetto, that has a nice Gamma
chapter.
Although I can't prove it, I think that it is an authentically military Gamma.
It is the proper late model with long speeds to one second, and it comes
with the VERY RARE, (althoug with front glass voluntarily
damaged)
Leitz Summitar 50/2 # 620396 coated lens, Clean,
1.900

Gamma #
11180, of a very late "11xxx" series, with Italian (rare) lens
Galileo Esaog 50/3.5 # 10096, clean and well
working

Gamma Alba, a
prototype ! With #
18143, this is the very 1st Gamma Alba
camera that I ever met with a built-in light meter ! And, it even seem properly
working ! The lens is an Enna Ennagon 50/2.8 in Prontor central shutter
1/300°
Who owns another, similar Alba ?
Please, let me know... Super RARE, ex+
1.400

ISO DUPLEX SUPER, the most complete STEREO
outfit that you may find, coming with: a Duplex
camera # 4152, his case, a never seen (by me) original
ISO handgrip, a never seen (by me) special
stereo hood, the rare and useful film "cutter"
with contrast-light facility, instructions
sheet in Italian and original ISO box, a full and new
ISO plastic box of plastic
slides frames, and... a NEVER SEEN (by me) delicious ISO stereo viewer,
with necessary adjustments, inner light, and BOX !
SOLD
Look at this special, rare, incomplete Janua,
(perheps) the most FINE Leica copy !

Janua # 450999,
perhaps the very LAST Janua of the 1st type, the one without a
synch device. This camera is
NOT complete, NOT working, probably disassembled in the
factory for tests. Still very interesting ! EX+,
800
THE TWO RARE LUXIA CAMERAS SHOWN HERE
BELOW HAVE BEEN SOLD
TIME AGO !
I KEPT THE PICTURES AS A NICE INFO MATTER...

Luxia II "GOLD", luxus,
close to a CHROME one, also very rare, submini half frame 35 mm camera, Roma, 1952, ex++,
P.O.A.
RECTAFLEX (Roma, Italy, since 1947)
Avv. Corsi
The
Factory
I found some "vintage" pictures of the
Rectaflex factory...
The Rectaflex is the
LONE Italian SLR ever made,
the VERY 1st 35mm SLR
ever made with a built-.in eyelevel, corrected
sides prism (year 1947/48, well BEFORE the German
Contax S), and his interesting features makes it a milestone in the history of
photographica "hardware". His value as a collectible camera continue to increase,
check around. Please note, clicking the proper picture's thumbnails, the
interesting engravings in French language in the inner bottom, and the "Tιlos
Paris" engraving around the finder eyepiece. All the inner parts are virtually
mint, with the usual, delicious Rectaflex logo, with.... "Planets" ! Definitely,
it was a FINE camera, and it still IS a real ICON, a gem for any collection.
The camera body is quite nice, with few light "brassy" signs of use on prism
edges, that are
enhanced by the contrast in my pictures. Actually, the brassy edges are a lot
less noticeable,
and two or three more, that are only due to the contact with the ENCLOSED
Rectafles case,
which conditions are EX+, and comes without strap. Said that, the camera is VERY
CLEAN,.
The shutter works reliably, as well the slow speeds, which sound seem proper.
Comes
with
a coated "T" and pre-set Zeiss Tessar 50/2.8
lens # 4316872 which focusing scale
reaches
the close-up distance of 50 cm. Lens glasses are clean, despite the tiny wipe
marks, as
clean are the
aperture
leaves, and the barrell cosmetics. Both curtains are in beautiful
conditions. An original Rectaflex film spool is
included. The bottom plate, that is
usually worn on most Rectaflex cameras, is also very clean in this example !

Rectaflex 1/1000 # 16405
with RARE Galileo Etar 50/2 lens, EX++/near mint,
SOLD

Rectaflex Rotor (NO Rotor engravings)
# 219326, for three rotating lenses,
very interesting, unique, special model of the
sole Italian SLR camera !
EX+, P.O.A.

Rectaflex 1/1300°
# 25300 B, technically the best model, with
RUBIS !
It comes with the original Schneider-Kreuznach Xenon 50/2 fast, coated lens #
3430124, cap,
and the original, clean Rectaflex case. The camera itself is also very clean, I
would rate it as
near MINT, just for the tiny scratch in the rear, near the finder eyepiece,
close the "Telos"
engraving. The baseplate, although not pictured, is virtually MINT, rarely found
so clean.
A well working shutter and a clean prism/finder make this Rectaflex one of the
best ones
I have seen in 22 years of cameras collecting. Near MINT,
1.250

Rectaflex 1/1300°
# 28257, technically the best model, with
RUBIS,
with a RARE Som Berthiot Flor 50/2.8 lens,
and a NOT original case ! :-) Very clean, (some wear in the bottom,
see pic), works well, EX++,
980

Rectaflex 1/1300°
# 28318, technically the best model, with
RUBIS,
with a clean Angιnieux 50/2.9 lens,
very clean, (some wear in the bottom,
and on the prism front, see pics), NEW curtains, EX++,
980

Rectaflex + Rotor # 28405,
not "Rotor" engraved, three lenses (sold ?)

Rectaflex 1/1300°
# 28696, technically the best model, with RUBIS,
with a RARE
Zeiss Tessar 50/2.8 lens, in original Rectaflex mount, accordingly engraved,
and even with the original "Zeiss" Rectaflex front cap. Film spool, too.

Rectaflex Rotor # 30644, three
lenses, P. O. A.

Rectaflex Rotor with
original "Rotor" engravings
# 30653, for three rotating lenses,
very interesting, unique, special model of the
sole Italian SLR camera !
EX+, P.O.A.

Look, Humphey Bogart with Gina
Lollobrigida handling a Rectaflex Rotor !

LENSES for RECTAFLEX, THE ONLY SLR ITALIAN
CAMERA !

Rectaflex
Galileo Esar 52/2 lens # 00194 (!!!), never

1.080

Zeiss Biotar 75/1.5 original Rectaflex
mt, # 2759690, hood, rear cap, near MINT,
SOLD
This one is probably the most elusive of the lenses
OFFICIALLY made for the Rectaflex line,
and you'll hardly find some else around ! :-)
The Zeiss Biotar 75/1.5 lens has been
offered in the Rectaflex mount from 1949 'till 1954, as per Antonetto's nice
book,
with three codes: OBA, OZEI, OZEIS.
This example, as you may
notice in my pictures, is coded as "OZA",
an unknown code !

New and exaustive book on the SOLE Italian SLR camera, the faboulous
Rectaflex,
with an useful
and interesting chapter on the rare Gamma Italian
Leica copy, too. Rarest models and several
prototypes are shown, perfectly described (with both companies
"history"), with a lot of pictures,
many of which in colour.
AVAILABLE EITHER IN ENGLISH, AND ITALIAN LANGUAGES.

A small item that represents one of the "secrets" of many professional
photographers...
A
new very special product MADE and offered by Leicatime
!
Please, look attentively... I am introducing
the NEW two "soft shutter releases"
buttons for Leica and other cameras, 16 mm diameter for your finger's comfort.
For Bessas I am making them smaller ! I know, several are offered around.
But, those two models are made in SOLID STAINLESS STEEL
!
TWO models: "Concave" and "Convex"
-
20
each, choose yours !
NOW, you'll find the Leicatime website address
engraved on their bottom.
I suggest you to purchase it/them along with a case, avoiding to pay the
shipping
cost for the soft release, alone ! I already placed one in EACH of my own
cameras... :-)
The softrelease screws into the remote
shutter release mechanism inside the shutter button and
provides a few advantages.
First, it physically raises the height of the shutter button, allowing you to
use the joint or pad of your finger to fire the shutter rather than the tip.
This results in a smoother action, more like squeezing a trigger than prodding a
button, which reduces camera shake a little and is (to many people at least)
more comfortable. Generally, the cable release socket also has a smoother action
than the shutter button, so the softrelease turns it into something of a
hair-trigger, which again helps reduce camera shake. The effect seems to vary a
little camera-to-camera, but I find them essential items on my M6 and Canon P.
Most users experience a combined benefit of about a stop more usability in
hand-held shooting: so if you find that you can normally manage sharp hand-held
shots at only 1/30 a softie should allow you to go down to 1/15 and achieve the
same results. Personally I find that, with the softie in place, I can manage
decent shots of 1/4 second quite easily, and even 1/2 if I'm lucky (I must have
steady hands).
The only downside is, as S. says, you do tend to end up with a few shots of the
inside of your camera bag, unless you get into the habit of stashing the camera
without winding on first. That said, film's cheap. (feedback
from a friendly user...)
Now,
also...
in Black Paint !
However, I can't guarantee the paint duration... (NOW quite strong !)
